Who is eligible to join?
Only students who are enrolled for the current term at Drexel University are eligible to join, as it is funded by student-run Drexel Club Sports.
How do I join the club?
Come to a club practice to speak to an officer and observe how club play is run. If you are interested in joining, there is a Participation Agreement that you must fill out and submit. To access it, find "Drexel Club Sports" on DragonLink and request membership. Once you are approved, you will be able to fill out the form under "Forms" on their homepage.
Concussion Addendum & Health Questionnaire forms on ATS (Athletic Training System): You will make an account and profile only for Drexel's records. You will complete the two forms (insurance and physical information are optional).
Every member must pay a $10 fee per term. This fee covers the cost of shuttles and some other services available to club members.
What do I need to play?
You will need athletic clothing (ex. t-shirts, athletic shorts, non-marking shoes). You can borrow rackets from the Recreation Center or from the club. However, it is recommended that you bring/purchase your own racket.
What is the difference between the club and team?
The club is skill agnostic: you can be an absolute beginner or an ex-South Asian Junior National Team player and still play on the same court. Conversely, the team is all about winning! The team is composed of the most skilled members of the club and represents Drexel in all collegiate matches and tournaments. The amount of funding DBC receives partially hinges on the success of the team so performance and skill is everything. You only need to be part of the club to play at Drexel.
